10 Days To Go...

I am truly counting down the days until my weekend getaways with Ezzy. We are headed to Tampa. I am sure I said that already but so what. We leave on the 23rd and come back on the 25th. Just a little time away just the two of us to commemorate 5 years married and 7 years together. Wow that is a long time. But I couldn't imagine being with anyone else. I just love that man to death.

Live In Color

Well My Brother Gavin's Dance Group Live in Color had a performance last night. Man, are they good. It was great. I must admit I am a proud sister right now. Every time I see him dance I am so very proud of him. This is a picture of use backstage. Love you Gavin. ((hugs))

Love is in the air... for me at least...

Well, my 5 year weddding anniversary is on March 23rd. I love my anniversary ( almost as much as I love my birthday). I am working on a mini album to celebrate the occassion. This is one of the pages from the album. I am so in love with this page. I am going write a little love note to Ezzy to put in the album and I asked him to write one to me so I can put it in it. I thought it would be fun to read them when we get older and remember exactly how we felt for each other at this point in our lives.

I am in count down mode. Just 15 days until we leave for the weekend to Tampa for a little fun in the sun just us two. Can't wait.

I am Feeling Soooo Old....

I turned 30 in October and up until now I really have not felt old. But tonight I really felt old. The other night my younger brother Kevin who is 7 years my junior told me that he was interested in buying a house in my neighborhood. Then tonight he came and picked me up and we went to look at the house. Wow, I use to take care off him while my mom went to work and school and now he is a man looking to buy a house. He turns 23 on Wednesday and I so happy that he is developing into a strong and smart young man. And that we have a great sibling relationship. I am truely proud of him.

I also realized that my baby Niah will be going to Elementary School in August. Oh My Gosh, how can this be? I was just changing her diaper and now she will be going to the big school she has been asking my about for the last two years.

The Weekend is done already...

As usual the weekend has just sped on by. Tomorrow is Monday again. I had so much plans to scrap and I go nothing done. I think I am really slacking. I did how ever manage to take a couple of picture of the kids. What new right.

Free Spirit...

Man, what I would give to be free. Free from responsibility. Free from hate. Free from worries. Free from stress. Free from do what I want to do and not worry about what other may think. Free to Say what I want. Free to walk around the house with no clothes on. Free to eat pasta. Oh to be a Free Spirit.

Long Day....

Man, It feel like I have been going for an entire day already. I had to wake up early this morning for a teacher conference. Nayshawn hasn't been acting right in school. Don't know what I am going to do with that little boy. I have a lot to do at work today ( so why am I blogging) because I couldn't log on the the network last night. So I have twice as much to do today and it all has to be done today because I have jury duty tomorrow. That sucks. But it is my civil duty. Maybe it might not be so bad. I hope by the weekend I have some free time so I can start the mini album I want to do to celebrate my 5 year anniversary next month. I can't wait we are going to Tampa for the weekend. I picked the hotel (Crown Plaza). Heard it is very nice. We will be doing the Busch Garden thing. We haven't done that in a while. I will be good to spend some alone time with Ezzy. Everything has been so hectic. Oh I did do my medical procedure last Friday and everything looked good but we won't know if the treatment is successful until next month so pray for me. Anyways back to work.

Exciting News about a Few Scrapper

A little Late but V-day was so nice.

I am late I know but this is the card I made for Ezzy for Valentines day. I know the colors are different but he is not a pink kinda man ( I don't know which man is).

My V-day was nice. 2 Dozen Roses and a Starbucks frappicino. If you look you can see it in my hand to the right of the picture. What more can a girl ask for? He is way to sweet. I really was not expecting flowers this year. He is a dental tech and we just opened a lab of our own ( Yes ladies and gentlemen as of 2/19/06 Ezzy and I are offically business owners). And then with our Anniversary on the 23rd of next month. Valentine's day was on the back burner. But he still manages to surprise me every time. I really do love this man.

More Scrapping this weekend....

Didn't have my medical procedure done on Friday. Some mix-up at the doctor's. So I have to wait until this Friday. Just more stressing. Will be scrapping all this weekend.

On the other hand, I found a new scrapbook store. This store is wonderful. They had everything. I bought a bunch of the new Basic Grey papers but they are so pretty I haven't used them yet. She will even have Elsie's line. I am so excited. I am off to scrap some more. Really should be folding laundry but who really likes to do that.

Scrapping to Relieve some stress.....

It is amazing how easy it is to get wrapped up in a Layout and get sucked into another world. I have been scrapping a lot in the last couple of weeks. Just trying to relieve some stress. It works wonders. Some people have exercise, some cook, some eat but me, I scrap. I scrap and I don't feel so scared, nervous or whatever I am feeling. I will be up late scrapping tonight. I have a medical procedure tomorrow that is not that big of a deal but for some reason I am a little nervous. So I will be scrapping until I fall asleep. Got to get rid of that nervous energy so how.

Fashion Wants....

I want this purse so bad. I just love Dooney & Burke. I have one like it already that Ezzy bought me for my birthday. And it is just perfect for me but it is brown so I want this one is black and I will be set. I have to visit Old Navy. I got to get one of these knit wrap dresses. Love these shoes. I bought a pair from Marshell's the other night and when I got home I found out that I had too differenct sizes. I have to go back and change them. They are so cute too. They are green with lemons on them.

Super Bowl Weekend...

Besides the fact that I am holding in my stomach in this picture. I look damn good.

Ezzy and I went out Friday night to one of the clubs at the Hard Rock. It was OK but the hype was all for nothing. We didn't like the music. They had out of town DJ's and we were not happy with the music so we were going back and forth between the different rooms in the club. The only good thing was that they were giving away a lot of free stuff and we made sure we got what we could carry. Oh and free drinks too. That new Remy Martin drink. It was pretty good.

I am trying the ponytail thing for a while. Just getting tired of doing my hair.

Little Aliyah is Officially 1. We had her Birthday Party yestureday and lets just say she racked up.

Where I am in my Life...

Time surely flies. It seems like yesturday I was just entering college with not a care in the world. Dreaming about what I would become. Now at 30 looking back. I am happy at where I was then and I am happy at where I am now. Have I accomplished everything that I set out to do? Maybe not all of them but I am working on it. I am starting to write my list of things that I want to do before I die and I am trying to cross them off the list in a timely manner. In short, I am happy with where life has taken me and the path I am on right now.

In the spirit of Valentine's Day

OK so this is not a frilly, girly Layout with reds and pinks on it. But I thought it was a good start. This picture is of Ezzy and I almost three years ago. This was when we were a lot thinner. I guess we are comfortable right now.

I have been checking out Elsie's blog http://elsieflannigan.blogspot.com/ and man I think I might go broke. Her line of products with KI Memories is just too yummy. I have to have them all.

Sisters?

Can you believe that these two are mother and daughter. This is my cousin Suzie and her daughter Reneece ( Named after me). They look and act more like sisters than mother and daughter.

I only hope that Niah and I will have that like of relationship as we grow older.

I am so loving these Fancy Pants Papers. I will surely have to get some more for a project I am working on for my other cousin.

Go Fly A Kite...

I forgot to tell you.

Ezzy built a kite from scratch. No template or anything. Just got up one day and decided that he would build a Kite. Says he use to make them all the time when he was a kid in Jamaica. I must admit, I was and still am impressed. I was sceptical that he could do it but as usual he proved me wrong. Needless to say, the kids had fun with it. We haven't had much windy days so we haven't flown it much but the excitement from the first time he put it in the air is still there.

My Weekend

Weekend was great. Very calm. I am trying my best to relax and take it easy.

I didn't go out with the girls at all. I know that is amazing. (I am saving my strength for Vages). Yes you read it correctly. The girls and I are headed to Vegas in April. Man I can't wait. This will be the longest I have been away from home since I had the kids. I pray that I can handle it. Everytime I think about leaving the kids for Five days I want to change my mind. But Ezzy tells me I have to let go.

Ran my errands on Saturday and took it easy on Sunday. Did a lot of cleaning. My house is really looking better now that I have a little more time.

Understanding Niah...

I love this Layout. It represents who Niah is right now. Trying to find herself in this world. Trying to understand why things can't always go her way. She is very stronge-minded and surely knows what she wants. I love this about her.

The last couple of days have been so hectic.

Work is really a mad house. I think I am slowly getting a handle on this new position. My year-end processes are almost over and then I can breath again. I have been making sure to take my vitamins so as not to get sick. I really don't need that right now.

Kids have been good. Nayshawn got a 100% on his spelling test last week. This is really good because we are having some trouble with spelling right now. Niah knows almost all of her letter sounds. I am trying to get her ready for Kindergarden next year.

I had to take a break from school because things where getting a little too crazy but I think I will pick it back up once things get back to normal. I am a little bummed about that because I was half way there but nothing happens before it's time.

Exciting News

I was invited to be a part of the JeansArtDolls (http://board.jeansartdolls.com/index.php ) Design Team. This is tooo cool!!!! And very exciting!!!! I recongnize some of the names from the scrapbook.com website. Some wonderful and talented people. I don't have any work posted yet but that won't take long.

The land of Make believe..

So I was in Michael's yesturday and after I promised myself I would not get anything else for the kids that they didn't need. I saw a lonely box of dress-up

clothes for only $8. I sat there in the store and tried to talk myself out of buying it for a good 5 minutes. People were walking by looking at me like I was crazy. After all of that I just couldn't resist. I bought it for Niah and of course she loved it.

After all isn't that what being a kid all about. Having fun being the princess or the fairy or both. Shoot, sometimes I still pretend. I pretend to be sipping Martini's on my own private island.

I took down the tree today too. Now things are really back to normal. I miss the lights though.

Started the New Year in a Rut...

I don't know, but I just feel out of it these last couple of days. Really not sure what it is but I don't like it and I am not sure how to get out of it.

Haven't been able to scrap in a while because of work and school and everything else that is going on in my life right now. I really miss it. I have to start making room in my schedule for it again.

Kids go back to school next week. I know they are not happy about that. They have been having so much fun in winter camp.

Also, got an email yesturday from my cousin stationed in Iraq. His team was bombed a couple of nights ago while out on a misssion. He is OK but one of the guys on his team suffered a stage 3 concusion. He can't remember anything. Please keep them and all the young people overseas in your prayers as I will be doing.
