Fall Leaves.....
Where is the time going? I feel like I was just giving Ezzy his Valentine's Day gift and now I am already thinking about Thanksgiving and what to buy people for Christmas.
Today we are experiencing a small cold front, which is nothing here in Florida (70-75 degrees). While I was dropping Nayshawn off at school this morning he asked me why it was cold today. I told him we are experiencing a cold front. So he asked if it was winter. I said no not yet. It's fall now. Well that sent him on a mission to find colored leaves. My poor baby. He doesn't understand that we don't expereince the changing colors of fall here. No falling leaves. It was cute though.
Maybe I should ask Aunty Kelly to send us some fall leaves for Nayshawn to have. Maybe we can even do a scrap page with them. Just a thought.

Hoooray for Fridays..
I promise to take it easy this weekend.
I am not feeling well today.
Throat is stratching.
Normally the first signs of a flu.
Or a Sinus infection.
I am prone to those at this time of the year.
Will not exert myself this weekend.
Have to save my energy.
Going to Howl-o-Scream next weekend.
Must be well to play.
Bye, going to pop some Vitamn C now.

Friends, it has been about two weeks since I have scrapped and man it felt good. I did this layout for a challenge at A Million Memories. I had to use stuff that I had been hoarding for a while. It was really hard using my Basic Grey papers but I am happy I did. I really love how the layout turned out. This is a picture I took of me and Niah at the beach back in February. It makes me want to go to the beach. I had planned to go to the beach this pass weakend but it didn't work out. I am going to try again this weekend.

My Baby went to his first FootBall Game.....
Saturday night I took Nayshawn to the UM vs. FIU game. I thought it would be a great experience for him. One because it was my school against his uncle's school. Two it would be night out with Mommy and Uncle with out little sister. This was the first time these two schools have ever played against each other.
He seemed to have a great time. I ended up having to teach a lesson in sportsmanship. In the middle of the game both teams started fighting. It was so bad that the police was called. Five players from each time was ejected. At the end of the day UM was the winner and this was the start of a whole new rivalry.

OK last of the birthday pictures.
OK, I promise these are the last of the birthday pics. I just had to share these. For as long as I can remember I have always had an ice cream cake on my birthday. (reason - I don't eat regular cake. I know weird.) It was great to share this tradition with two of the most special people in my life. Niah would have been there but she fell asleep early. Maybe next year Niah.

A Reflection on my first 30 years....
I sit here on the day before my 30th Birthday reflecting on the first 30 years of my life. I have come so far and I know I still have far to go. What mark have I made on this world and the people I have met? Have I accomplished everything I hoped to accomplish by this point in my life? Am I living my life to the fullest? What are my plans for the next 30 years?
Wow, I am overwhelming myself. But this is very important stuff. I need to know if I got side tracked in my vision for myself.
So after hours of thought I have come to the realization that after years of creating a family and home I have just now start to live life again. I wouldn't change a thing I have done so far and I am very happy at what I have managed to accomplish in such a short time. I have worked very hard in the last couple of years to create a nice balance between work and home and I am happy I can sit back a enjoy life right now. I think before I started scrapbooking I never really stopped to absorb what was going on around me. But now I try to appreciate every moment.
Have I made my mark. I think I am still leaving my mark. I can only hope I was able to touch and/or inspire everyone I have met during my journey in life in some way.
Tomorrow I will celebrate my life and all I have done. I will appreciate the life I have lived and I will continue to appreciate it. I will not be sad about what I have not accomplished yet. I will set more goals and strive to achieve them. I will not let them consume me but guide me to be happy in my journey in life.

First Layout on my new Desk...
My first Layout on my new desk. It was great. Everything was in reach and I didn't have to get up and go get what I needed then go back and sit down. It actually took me less time to complete this Layout. I don't know if it was just because I was so excited to use my new desk that everything came easy or the flow was easier because everything was organized. What ever it was I loved it.
This is a Layout I did for the September challenge at serendipity scrapbooks. The challenge was to create a Layout in the likeness of one of Elsie Flannigan's ( http://elsieflannigan.blogspot.com/ ) Layouts. This is what I came up with.
Just to let you guys know A Million Memories ( http://http://www.amillionmemories.com ) is having a 20% off sale this week. Check it out.

Boy weekends go fast.
Well, it took a while but I finally have a scrap desk. I am still working on the entire area but I am truely happy to have a desk. I will post pic of the entire area by the end of the week.
I was able to unpack dishes I had packed away for the last three years. My grandmother gave me this China Cabinet and I sanded it and painted it Antique white. It sits in my kitchen against a bare wall. The dishes at the top are wedding gifts and the ones at the bottom where given to me by my mother -in-law. This is part of my work in progress kitchen.
We replaced our back door today. What a task that was. Sad thing about it is when everything was done we realized it was hung the wrong way. We will have to remove it and turn it around tomorrow. Oh well that is how the story goes.

Ant Fascination
My baby boy has a strange fascination with Ants. Every chance he gets he is checking them out. I don't understand it but I enjoy watching him explore what he thinks are very fascinating creatures.
Decided I would do a quick fun Layout about it. I have been so busy getting my Frances Meyer DT projects together, (They have some exciting things planned for Memory Trends so look out for them) that this was a great break.

Dance class starts again...
Well Saturday dance class started for the kids. Nayshawn is doing Hip Hop and Pop-n-Lock. Niah is doing Tap and Ballet. I really enjoy watching them in their classes but it does take about 3 hours out of my day. So to pass some of the time I did a mini photo shoot with each child outside of the school. Here are some of my favorate pics from that.

What's making me happy these days.
In no particular order.
1. Justin Timberlake - that boy is off the chain. I am loving the new album.
2. Pier 1 Imports - if I could furnish and decorate my entire house from this store I would.
3. School - Niah, Nayshawn and Myself are all doing great in school.
4. Work - I just got a new position and I am so excited about that.
5. Camera - I am loving my new camera. I am learning how to capture my special moment in new exciting ways.
6. My Car - My Scion XB, I am loving my new car. $28 fills the tank and it lasts me a week. Also it is so roomy enough that I don't miss my SUV.
7. Ezzy - He is so good to me. I love him so much. (I don't think I say that as often as I should).
8. Colors - Loving the impact colors are having on the way I am feeling lately. I am slowly transforming my house (color wise) into a very happy place to be. I am Loving Yellows, Reds, Greens and Oranges.
9. Pedicures - Need to get them more often.
10. Hugs - Hugs from the Kids and especially from Ezzy. Did I mention that I love this man? LOL

Happy Days
Here are some LO's I did as an entry to a friends circle journal. I actually like how they turned out. I will have to try something like this again for myself.
This weekend Ezzy and I will be going back up to Orlando to visit Downtown Disney. Ezzy has been before but this will be my first time. I am really pumped about that. This will be a sort of pre-birthday celebration trip. We would have waited and gone in October if I didn't get a deal on the hotel for the month of September.
I am so loving this rug. I think I will make this purchase for the transformation of my formal living room to a library/scrap area. I seems to be durable enough to handle the kids but nice enough to bring up the room. I just love Peir 1 imports.
I also bought some of these poppies at Peir 1 to put in that area.
