Dear Santa

Since Thanksgiving is done and boy am I stuffed, Niah decided that it was time to tell Santa what she wants for Christmas. She wrote her list by herself with spelling help from me of course. I don't think it is too bad. Got to get started. I wanted to go out yesturday but the thought of dealing with all those people turned me off. Going to decorate my house for the holidays today. I have to start on Christmas because as soon as you know it the holidays are all over.

Happy Day...

I had a wonderful day yesturday. We celebrated my mom's 50th birthday with a small family dinner. It was great. My mom had a good time and that is all that matters. Special thanks to Ezzy for cooking such a wonderful meal. I think I married the best man in the world.

Wow Look what I got...

Look at all this stuff I got from Joann.com. All for just $26. I know that it is a lot of old KI stuff. I just couldn't pass it up. Can't wait to play with it. Nayshawn got a new hair cut. Ezzy allowed him to get a zig zag part. How cute it that.

Being a Working Mom...

It sure is tough being a working mother of two small kids, plus student going back to school to get an MBA. I have a lot of guilt. Which I know I shouldn't but I just can't help to feel bad that I am not there for my kids as much I would like to. Today I had a parent teacher conference for Nayshawn. He is doing good. He needs some help with his reading and spelling but overall he is doing great. His teachers where very nice, they gave me some great suggestions on how to improve his reading. But although they ensured me that I just have to work with him and they understand that I am a working mother and it is hard sometimes to get everything done, I still feel a little guilty about the fact that I really don't have a lot of time to work with him on his reading. I have a total of 2 1/2 hours in the evening to get home, make dinner, do homework, and get ready for the next day before the kids have to be in bed. And then on the weekend I feel so bad about the week days that I spend as much time as possible doing everything else with them. Not to mention how tired I am from the work week. I guess I will have to work on this and I guess as they get older I won't feel so bad. Well just had to get that off my chest.

Trying my hand at photography

I have been trying my hand at taking some professional looking pictures. I think I did a pretty good job. For Chirstmas I am going to treat myself to a Canon Rebel XT. Man, I can't wait. Niah looks so grown up in these pictures. It makes me kind of sad. She is suppose to stay my baby forever and now she is so independent. Doing things on her own. I guess I didn't feel it as much with Nayshawn because when he started to be independent I still had her. But now with her becoming more and more independent what do I do? How do I handle this? My babies aren't babies anymore.

Just had to share this LO with everyone. I love this picture of Nay and Niah that I took one day at my mom's house. For some reason they are always hiding out under her bed. So being the camera happy mom I am, I just had to capture the moment. Love this LO. I was trying to combine different pattern papers. Got to get rid of some of these older papers so I can make some room for the new papers I want to buy.

Well, off to get ready for bed. I have a long day ahead of me tomorrow.

Halloween..

It was good. No trick-or-treaters but the kids loved their costumes. We tried to go to the family festival they were having at the stadium but to was to crowded so we went to McDonald's instead. The kids enjoyed having junk food in the middle of the week. That is a treat for them.
